How good is this political writing? Any good? Persuasive?

Sounds good to me, this is sure to get some people fired up I like the "parasitic mention about China, it really remakes half the products that we make, lots of counterfeiting here, lots of RECALLED products as well because they are not up to safety standards particularly CHILDREN'S TOYS. The last part was a nice touch on how the US can be associated with a country with a POOR HUMAN RIGHTS record.
